It’s a big jump from the Fox Theatre to Philips Arena, but it’s one that Bruno Mars is making on his summer “Moonshine Jungle World Tour.”

The soul-funk-pop singer, who sold out the Fox with Janelle Monae in 2011, will visit Philips at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 22, toward the end of the U.S. leg of his tour, which launches June 22 in Washington, D.C. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. March 8 for $40-$94.

The Philips show will feature openers Fitz & The Tantrums (Ellie Goulding is handling opening duties on other dates).

Mars, 27, will head to Europe on Oct. 2, where he is also playing arenas.

Following the success of “Locked out of Heaven,” which Mars performed with Sting at the Grammys earlier this month, comes “When I Was Your Man,” the second single from his sophomore album, “Unorthodox Jukebox,” which landed in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100 this week. It marks Mars’ 10th consecutive single to hit the Top 10.

Tickets can be purchased atwww.livenation.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
