Party in the Park will return to Centennial Olympic Park this spring on May 18 and with it comes the lineup of Passion Pit, Ellie Goulding and Grouplove.
Tickets for the all-ages event, which will run from 3-11 p.m., are $35 and on sale at 10 a.m. March 9.
Passion Pit is enjoying the success of its second album, “Gossamer,” including the alt-rock hit, “Carried Away.” British singer Goulding, meanwhile, recently played a sold-out show at The Tabernacle and will now bring her ethereal pop outdoors. Friends-turned-bandmates Grouplove – including drummer Ryan Rabin, son of Yes’ Trevor Rabin – had a mainstream breakthrough last year when its song “Tongue Tied” landed in an iPod Touch commercial.
This is the second consecutive year for Party in the Park. Last year’s show -- the first ticketed concert in the space in a decade that was designed as a park fundraiser-- featured The Flaming Lips, Young the Giant, AWOLNATION and others.
