The team heads into the post-season on Thursday and Friday with games slated for 8:37 p.m. and 6:07 p.m. But since these are the playoffs, of course the Braves brass has crafted an entertainment lineup to keep fans sated each night.
Prior to Thursday’s first pitch, Beatles tribute band The Return will perform in Fan Plaza. Handling national anthem duties will be Edwin McCain (he of “I’ll Be” fame) and coming along for the 7th inning stretch is Atlanta Opera mainstay Timothy Miller, who will sing “God Bless America.”
On Friday night, Atlanta rapper B.o.B. (who performed after a Braves game last season) will get fans pumped up before the game in Fan Plaza. Then Zac Brown and Sarah Dugas (an artist on Brown’s Southern Ground label) will sing the national anthem and Miller will return for 7th inning stretch duties.
All gates open three hours before first pitch each night. The Marta Braves shuttle also begins running three hours before game time. And fans looking for a parking alternative can stash their cars at Lakewood Amphitheatre for $5 and take a free shuttle to Turner Field.
