Ne-Yo and TLC's Chilli attended the "CrazySexyCool" premiere in New York earlier this week. Ne-Yo wrote a new song for TLC that is featured in their VH1 biopic and on the girls' new greatest hits album.
It’s been an incredible nine-year run for Ne-Yo (born Shaffer Chimere Smith), which began when he penned “Let Me Love You,” an earworm that became a worldwide smash for Mario in 2004.
Between Ne-Yo’s own hits (“So Sick,” “Because of You,” “Let Me Love You [Until You Learn to Love Yourself]”) and the parade of songs he wrote or co-wrote for and with other artists (“Hate That I Love You” for Rihanna, “Knock You Down” with fellow Atlantan Keri Hilson, “Give Me Everything” with Pitbull, “Let’s Go” for Calvin Harris), he obviously has a ton of momentum as he heads into a new decade.
His latest creation? A new song with TLC, “Meant to Be,” found on their just-released greatest hits album.
