“Motown the Musical” is holding auditions in Atlanta for both the current Broadway production and the national tour that will launch in Chicago in 2014.
Producers are seeking African-American singers in their 20s-40s with “exceptional” voices. They are also auditioning for the role of young Michael Jackson/Berry Gordy/Stevie Wonder and looking for an African-American boy aged 8-13. No prior theater experience necessary.
The open call will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 10 at 14th Street Playhouse (173 14th St., N.E., Atlanta), stage three.
Those auditioning should bring sheet music for a song of choice from the Motown catalog, a recent photo or headshot and a resume including contact information.
