Jason Aldean tour to hit stadiums, Atlanta, in 2014

Jason Aldean will continue to conquer stadiums in 2014 on his “Burn it Down” tour.

The 50-city trek launches May 1 in Roanoke; other dates haven’t been announced yet, but Atlanta is on the itinerary as the fifth stop, following Virginia, State College, Pa., Atlantic City, N.J. and Birmingham, Ala.

Aldean also announced through MLB.com that he plans to hit at least four baseball stadiums throughout the country, including Nationals Park in D.C. and Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

In aninterview with MLB.com, the Macon native and lifelong Braves fan acknowledged the awkwardness of playing in the parks of some of the team’s biggest rivals.

"I may take some flak in my home state of Georgia for this, because this is one of our big rivals," Aldean said of Philly. "I'm a big Atlanta Braves fan, but we are going to Philadelphia and play Citizens Bank Park. It's gonna be a good time, man. Another great ballpark, one of the newer ballparks, it's really cool. And again, Philly -- great town, looking forward to getting up to Pennsylvania and seeing everybody.

"I grew up about an hour south of Atlanta, I'm a huge Braves fan, and the last few seasons the Braves and Phillies have had a pretty good little rivalry going -- and now Washington, too. So here I'm going to two of our rivals and before I even go play Atlanta at Turner Field, so I'll probably take a little heat from some of my buddies on the Braves. It's all good."

Joining Aldean on the bill are “Cruise” hitmakers Florida Georgia Line and newcomer Tyler Farr.

Last year, the country megastar sold out Wrigley Field, two nights at Fenway Park, Madison Square Garden and, of course, his lauded gig at UGA’s Sanford Stadium.

Stay tuned for further ticket info.
