Happy Final Four Friday!

If you're headed downtown this weekend I will see you there. I'm not covering the games but rather events surrounding them, including, and I am not making this up, a reception for the official ladder that the winning coach will ascend after the final game to snip off the net. A party for a ladder! Love it. I am already crafting a clever line about social climbing. Look for the story in Sunday's newspaper.

Anyway here's what's cookin.

Hip hop producer Jermaine Dupri stopped by the Va-Hi Yeah Burger last night. Is the whole Harlem Shake thing totally over? If not here's the one So So Def did. Careful, it may give you a seizure toward the end.

I keep getting reports of "Anchorman 2" cast member James Marsden sitting solo, sipping a cocktail. First at Cypress Street Pint and Plate, more recently at Bar Eleven. I guess after a long day with Ron Burgundy an'em he's ready for some solitude.

I'm not sure where AM2 is filming today. Anyone know? Here's Will Ferrell in his classy getup in Midtown the other day.

"Being Mary Jane" has been filming in Midtown. This crew sign was a pretty good tip-off. Star Gabrielle Union stopped by Antico mogul Giovanni Di Palma's new(ish) venture, Gio’s Chicken Amalfitano, not too long ago and posed for this nice photo.

" Necessary Roughness" has been filming a restaurant scene. My Twitter buddy Veronica Kelly-Cash posted this photo of all the trucks and gear and whatnot outside One Midtown Kitchen.

"Prisoners" is just about done. We have interviewed cast member Maria Bello a couple of times since filming for that movie began. They're out near Stone Mountain Park today and should finish up in the next few days. For a while there we were hearing reports of cast member Jake Gyllenhaal showing up first at Watershed and then at Flywheel. Nothing lately. He may be done.

Cast member Hugh Jackman's kept a pretty low profile. We saw him the day he arrived, when he showed up at a "Les Miz" screening, but haven't heard a peep about him since.

Bello, on the other hand, has enjoyed visiting spots like Chops Lobster Bar and the DeKalb Farmers Market. She also held a fundraiser for her foundation, which works with women's groups in Haiti. Fellow cast member Viola Davis, who recently visited the Georgia Aquarium, attended.

That's it for the moment. More later!
