"Being Mary Jane," a new BET show starring Gabrielle Union, continues filming in Atlanta. It's been in Midtown and downtown and now has set up camp in Grant Park. (Here's Gabrielle with Giovanni Di Palma, Atlanta's most ebullient restaurant owner, during a recent visit to Gio's Chicken Amalfitano).

Here's a notice from our friends at the Grant Park Neighborhood Association:

"Filming plans include a closure to the following area: Park Ave. SE from Atlanta Ave. SE to Robinson Ave. SE will be closed for filming from Friday, April 12 at 12:01 a.m. through Saturday, April 13 at 6: a.m.

Additionally, vehicles will be parked in the following areas:

Wednesday, April 10 at 3 p.m. through Thursday, April 11 at 11:59 p.m.: The west curb lane and sidewalk of Park Ave SE

Friday, April 12 at 12:01 a.m. through Saturday, April 13 at 6 a.m.: The south curb lane and sidewalk of Atlanta Ave. SE, extending 300’ west and 300’ east of Park Ave. SE; the north curb lane and sidewalk of Kendrick Ave. SE, from ParkAve. SE, extending 300 feet; the north curb lane and sidewalk of Robinson Ave. SE, extending300’ west and 300’ east of Park Ave. SE.

Breakdown Productions would like Grant Park neighbors to know they think Grant Park is a wonderful neighborhood and they look forward to featuring it in their show. During filming, Atlanta Police will be on-site, providing intermittent traffic control in order to minimize disruptions."
