Robin Williams, in Atlanta filming a movie called "A Friggin' Christmas Miracle," surprised and delighted the audience at the Laughing Skull Lounge in Midtown Sunday night, where he riffed on The Walking Dead, Christopher Walken and Lindsay Lohan.
No photos were allowed but check back later. Maybe someone will manage to get us some pix.
Or you could check out Mara Davis' Twittah. She was there. (Sidenote: Radio 105.7, have you hired Mara yet? If not, what are you waiting on??? I. Mean. Really.)
OK back to Robin Williams.
The comic legend's scheduled yet unpublicized appearance followed that of comic actor Chris Tucker, who popped by last week in between tour stops. A guest who happened to be in the audience that night said Tucker seemed to be working on some new material since the jokes were timely (North Korea, Margaret Thatcher, etc) and he kept referring to a legal pad. Here's a link to the article about Tucker's Laughing Skull set.
We're told Williams seemed to ad lib, which is his style. A comic genius!
"Christmas Miracle," also starring Candice Bergen, Lauren Graham, Joel McHale and Oliver Platt, is billed thusly by imdb.com: "A guy drives around on Christmas eve with his father looking for replacement gifts after realizing he left all of his son's presents at home." It's been filming in Tucker.
More later!
