Former Sen. Fred Thompson in Atlanta for a movie

By Jennifer Brett

Actor-politician Fred Thompson is in Atlanta for a film project.

The former U.S. Senator from Tennessee, former presidential candidate and longtime thespian known for his role as District Attorney Arthur Branch on NBC's "Law and Order" is here to work on "A Larger Life," an independent film  written and directed by Cedartown attorney William L. Lundy Jr.

"The film highlights the many joys of living in a small rural town, while also providing a behind the scenes view of the efforts required to bring a major malpractice case to trial," a statement from Lundy's law firm said.

Thompson and Lundy took a meeting, as they say in Hollwyood, at Mary Mac’s Tea Room today. Thompson’s scenes begin filming tomorrow in Cedartown.
