CBS Atlanta consumer investigative reporter Adam Murphy hosts a fun event for a special cause next month: a charity fundraiser at Philips Arena.
Tickets purchased through his web site for the Atlanta Hawks' March 15 game against the Phoenix Suns benefit Miracle for Mom, a nonprofit he formed in his mother Janice's honor. She was diagnosed two years ago with a rare brain disease called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, also known as PSP. His foundation supports research efforts; there currently is no cure for PSP.
The Hawks-Suns game starts at 7:30 p.m. March 15. It's the second charity fundraiser Murphy has organized in his mom's honor. A fundraising dinner at South City Kitchen Vinings held last fall raised $2,500.
