Flash mob planned downtown on Valentine's Day No plans for Valentine's Day? How about dancing with a billion of your closest friends?
One Billion Rising Atlanta is part of the One Billion Rising effort, an effort organized by a group called V-Day. Playwright Eve Ensler is the founder. For more information see the group's web site .
"We proclaim Valentine's Day as V-Day, to celebrate women and end the violence," its mission statement reads in part.
Atlanta V-Day events planned for Feb. 14 include a 10 a.m. rally at the Georgia State Capitol followed by a flash mob at Woodruff Park. There's a dance rehearsal from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at The Studio Atlanta Dance - Buckhead, 3229-B Cains Hill Place. More details here .
