Colin Farrell and Anthony Hopkins are in Atlanta filming "Solace" and got a hand from some DeKalb County firefighters.
Several firefighters from DeKalb County Engine 5 - Desmond Dixon, Capt. Maurice Gates, Patrick Holcomb and Eric Thompson - were hired for a scene in the thriller, about a doctor with psychic abilities who teams with the FBI to track down a serial killer.
“We are excited to be asked to participate in this film because it gives us another chance to showcase great areas in DeKalb and our skilled firefighters,” DeKalb County CEO Burrell Ellis said in a statement. “While the film is supposed to be based in Anytown, USA, we are sure to recognize some familiar places in it.”
The movie, also starring Abbie Cornish and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, has filmed in numerous Atlanta locations, including a downtown bus station, Atlantic Station and Avondale Estates Marta station. It is due for a 2014 release.
