Honey Boo Boo and family

Whew! Looks like Honey Boo Boo an'em are going to be able to hawk those Thin Mints after all.

Alana Thompson and her family down in McIntyre had been selling Girl Scout cookies via Facebook on behalf of a local troop, but that ran afoul of Girl Scout policy.

Scouts can spread the word via social media that they are selling cookies, but must complete the transactions themselves and should do their own selling. Girl Scouts officials did applaud Alana for wanting to help. But they said the star of TLC's "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" should not have been doing so in an online fashion.

Well, good news. The BuzzFeed site has evidence that Honey Boo Boo has gotten back into the cookie business. She's shown in these photographs hawking cookies in a mall. Ace correspondent "Milledgevillian" reports that these photos were taken at Milledgeville Mall; its web site included a note about Girl Scout cookie sales but nothing about the Boo. Yet.

And here is a breaking news update: Honey Boo Boo is now in the Girl Scouts. They posted a photo of her in her official Troop T-shirt just now. Here it is.

We will, of course, continue pounding the virtual pavement to bring you updates about Georgia's most famous 7-year-old!
