"Anchorman 2" has been setting up for an ice rink scene in downtown Atlanta, on the plaza between North and South Towers of Peachtree Center. Randy Robbins took this photo of the work in progress.
The film starring Will Ferrell as the legendary Ron Burgundy will be down there through March 24, according to permits filed with the city of Atlanta. Prepare for traffic to be impacted along Andrew Young International Boulevard between Peachtree Street and Peachtree Center Avenue, according to permit documents. The sidewalk along that stretch will be closed during that time as well.
The permit agreement stipulates that two uniformed, off-duty police officers are present the entire time and that residents and businesses affected by the filming must have access to their homes or offices.
The movie, also starring Paul Rudd, James Marsden, Christina Applegate, Harrison Ford and Kristen Wiig, already has filmed at a number of Atlanta locations, including the Silver Skillet and Olympic Flame restaurants and private homes in Buckhead and Inman Park.
We're told the gang enjoyed dinner at South City Kitchen Midtown on Monday night. Previously cast members have been spotted at places including Two Urban Licks, Mi Cocina and Cypress Street Pint and Plate.
