Charles Ramsey, the Cleveland man whose vibrant vocabulary after he helped three women and a child escape captivity in his neighborhood, catapulted him to fame and free hamburgers, is up for further honors today.
If you happen to be in the neighborhood, "Ramsey will be present at an event to meet the public when his statue will be unveiled," the law office announced. (The address is 12407 US Hwy. 23 S. in Stanville).
"I can't think of a better way to commend my friend Charles than having a statue made in his honor," Eric C. Conn said in a statement.
The barrister is described as "the host of the event and is known for his love of statues."
Following the festivities from noon to 2 p.m. today (which will include free burgers, of course), the statue will be donated to a museum in Cleveland.
