Paul Rudd, in Atlanta in the past for "Anchorman 2" and "Wanderlust," in addition to a visit to Conan O'Brien's late-night show when it taped here, will now star in "Ant-Man," based out of Fayetteville's Pinewood Atlanta Studios.

Marvel, which has signed Atlanta rapper-actor Clifford "T.I." Harris onto the project, released this photo of Rudd in character.

Per imdb:

"Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world."

Douglas also has worked in Atlanta in recent years, starring in "Last Vegas" with Kevin Kline, Morgan Freeman and Robert De Niro.

The project has started filming in San Francisco, the Hollywood Reporter notes. Rudd was here in Atlanta just the other day and popped up at a screening of "Guardians of the Galaxy," another Marvel project.

From Eminem to Garth Brooks to One Direction, fall offers colossal concert choices

To call September “super” would be like calling Garth Brooks “a country singer.” It’s a lot bigger than that.
