TV best bets with season finales of 'Mentalist,' 'Amazing Race,' 'The Americans'

"The Americans" on FX will be back in 2014 for more Reagan-era espionage fun!

I apologize for posting this obnoxiously late. So late, in fact, that Monday's tips are, well, past due. (If you've already seen the season finales of "Bones" and "The Following," I hope you enjoyed them!)

But alas, there are several more shows ready to close shop for the spring a wee early: "The Mentalist" and "The  Amazing Race" Sunday on CBS; "Red Widow" on ABC Sunday and "The Americans' on FX Wednesday. I'm not sure if "Red Widow" will return but the other three will be back next season.

And one locally based reality show "R&B Divas Atlanta' comes back for a second season Wednesday on TV one.

MONDAY

“Bones” 8 p.m. Fox (eighth season finale) — More treachery from Christopher Pelant.

“Dancing With the Stars” 8 p.m. ABC — Jacoby Jones is the only guy who has a shot to win it all.

“How I Met Your Mother” 8 p.m. CBS — Barney's bachelor party has the gang pulling out the stops to make it legendary.

“Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” 8 p.m. VH1 — Joseline calls out Stevie for his high jinks.

“The Voice” 8 p.m. NBC — The knockout round begins.

“The Following” 9 p.m. Fox (first season finale) — Ryan tries to stop Joe before it's too late.

“Rectify” 9 p.m. Sundance — Amantha fears for Daniel's safety.

“Bates Motel” 10 p.m. A&E — Norma receives her first guest at the motel.

“The Big C” 10 p.m. Showtime (fourth season debut) — Adam is turning 16 and Cathy plans to throw him a party.

“Hawaii Five-O” 10 p.m. CBS — A talk-show host and her crew follow Five-O for a day.

“Castle” 10:01 p.m. ABC — Beckett steps on a bomb.

“Revolution” 10:01 p.m. NBC — An old flame of both Miles and Monroe reappears.
TUESDAY

“Dance Moms” 8 p.m. Lifetime (third season finale) — Abby makes a surprise announcement that could forever change the dance company.

NCIS” 8 p.m. CBS — The NCIS team hunts for Bodnar.

“Splash” 8 p.m. ABC — A mystery celebrity diver shows up.

“The Voice” 8 p.m. NBC — More knockout rounds. Vedo is the only Atlantan left.

“Dancing With the Stars” 9 p.m. ABC — Most at risk going home: Sean Lowe and Andy Dick.

“NCIS: Los Angeles” 9 p.m. CBS — Callen questions Hetty's motives.

“The Game” 10 p.m. BET — An initiation takes a foul turn for Keira and Chardonnay.

“Golden Boy” 10 p.m. CBS — Clark reflects on his own family's struggles.

“20/20” 10:01 p.m. ABC — Diane Sawyer interviews Amanda Knox, the American exchange student convicted in Italy of murder in 2007, a verdict overturned in 2011.

WEDNESDAY

“American Idol” 8 p.m. Fox — The remaining four women sing songs from the past and current tunes.

“Survivor” 8 p.m. CBS — Is it time for the main alliance to finally crumble?

“Manhunt” 8 p.m. HBO — How the CIA tracked down Osama bin Laden in documentary form.

“Family Tools” 8:30 p.m. ABC (new series) — A father falls ill and his screw-up son returns to take over the family business.

“Modern Family” 9 p.m. ABC — Phil relishes the idea of Career Day until his nemesis shows up.

“Law & Order: SVU” 9:01 p.m. NBC — A suburban teenage girl is raped at a concert.

“The Americans” 10 p.m. FX (first season finale) — Philip and Elizabeth are orderd to attend a potentially dangerous meeting while Stan closes in on them.

“The Big Brain Theory” 10 p.m. Discovery (new series) — Design engineers vie for the most innovative solution to a technological challenge.

“Nashville” 10 p.m. ABC — Liam offers Rayna a chance to escape and finish her album.

“Psych” 10 p.m. USA — Shawn looks into the mayor's death.

“R&B Divas Atlanta” 10 p.m. TV One (second season debut) — Two new cast members are LaTocha Scott and Angie Stone.

THURSDAY

“American Idol” 8 p.m. Fox — David Cook is scheduled to perform.

“Big Bang Theory” 8 p.m. CBS — Sheldon hires childhood hero Professor Proton (Bob Newhart) to appear at his apartment.

“The Office” 8:30 p.m. NBC — Andy quits his job and pursues his dreams of stardom.

“Two and a Half Men” 8:31 p.m. CBS— Alan tries a more modern look.

“Glee” 9 p.m. Fox — The glee club perform Stevie Wonder songs.

“Grey’s Anatomy” 9 p.m. ABC — Bailey refuses to accept help from her colleagues.

“Project Runway” 9 p.m. Lifetime — Reunion time!

“Person of Interest” 9:01 p.m. CBS — The Machine is affected by a virus.

“Kitchen Nightmares” 8 p.m. Fox — Gordon Ramsay helps the owners of a Cajun-style restaurant in Nashville.

“Undercover Boss” 8 p.m. CBS — Atlanta-based Rollins Inc. president goes undercover at Orkin.

“Happy Endings” 8:30 p.m. ABC (third season finale)  — Alex and Jane’s older sister plan to get married.

“Touch” 9 p.m. Fox — Martin has an encounter with an Aster Corps enforcer. 

“Vegas” 9 p.m. CBS — Sheriff Lamb's investigation into the death of Porter Gainsely's attorney sparks an attack on Katherine.

“Blue Bloods” 10 p.m. CBS — The Reagans suffer a loss due to the project gangs.
