Andy Dick's heart and popularity finally couldn't overcome his modest dance skills that have placed him in or near the bottom week in and week out with the judges.
So on Tuesday night, he went home but don't shed tears for the actor, who spent a little time in Atlanta as a teenager. He was deeply proud that he did as well as he did, finishing seventh.
Andy struggled with the rumba, as judge Carrie Ann Inaba gave him a mere 5 out of 10, an unusually low score at this stage in the competition. His total of 17 was his worst score since week one. There was also a dance off for three more points. He lost to Aly Raisman in that race.
The second-lowest score was "The Bachelor" Sean Lowe with 24. Actually, soap star Ingo Rademacher received only a 22, the second lowest score before the extra dance off, but he won that faceoff against Sean so he ended up with a 25. But Rademacher was still in the bottom two with Dick.
It has been clear for weeks that the two best dancers are Kellie Pickler and Disney star Zendaya. Both received a 29 Monday night. Only an injury will prevent either from making the finals. I still give Kellie the edge in terms of popularity and the likely win in three weeks.
