'The Big Bang Theory" demolishes "Idol" in ratings: "Idol" contestant lies about military injuries By Rodney Ho
How the might have fallen. The top show on TV for nearly its entire run, "Idol' is now an also-ran head to head vs. "The Big Bang Theory."
The CBS sitcom demolished 'Idol" in the ratings last night, 17.5 million to 13.7 million. It also beat "Idol" in 18-49 ratings 5.3 to 4.5.
This was by far the lowest ratings "Idol" has had since season one, when it was a summer show.

A contestant Matt Farmer, who sang while his cute toddler daughter was by his side during Wednesday's episode, admitted today that he lied to "Idol" about the nature of his injuries while serving in combat .
He claimed he suffered a traumatic brain injury while serving in Iraq. He now admits that was not the case. Other servicemen who worked with him said he actually mixed alcohol with acne medication.
