TV tips with the Grammys, returns of 'Walking Dead,' 'Smash,' 'Touch'

"Smash" returns to NBC Tuesday night.

Music fans should enjoy the Grammys this Sunday featuring acts such as Mumford & Sons, the Lumineers, Carrie Underwood, Frank Ocean and the Black Keys.

Horror fans will embrace the return of AMC's "The Walking Dead," after a winter break, as the battle between Woodbury and the prison heats up this coming Sunday night.

Theater fans who loved or hated "Smash" last season will find out a few weaker (or annoying) characters and storylines are cut and a couple of newer ones pop up Tuesday night on NBC.

And paranormal (and Kiefer Sutherland) fans will discover Fox's second season of "Touch" has been moved to Friday nights to replace just-concluded "Fringe."

MONDAY

“The Bachelor” 8 p.m. ABC — Sean takes the remaining 11 women to Whitefish, Mont.

“The Biggest Loser” 8 p.m. NBC — Laila Ali leads last-chance workouts.

“Bones” 8 p.m. Fox — Angela goes undercover on the roller-derby circuit.

“How I Met Your Mother” 8 p.m. CBS  — Robin Sparkles is back!

“Rules of Engagement” 8:30 p.m. CBS (seventh season debut)  — Liz moves in with Jeff and Aubrey.

“Dallas” 9 p.m. TNT — Christopher tries to tie Pamela to Tommy's vanishing.

“The Following” 9 p.m. Fox — The origin of Hardy and Carroll's relationship is revealed.

“Hawaii Five-O” 10 p.m. CBS — A mysterious man has a cop hit list.

“Monday Mornings” 10 p.m. TNT (new series) — CNN's Sanjay Gupta inspires this medical drama about neurosurgeons.

“Castle” 10:01 p.m. ABC — Castle and Beckett discover evidence that links a senator to a young woman's murder.

TUESDAY

“Betty White’s Second Annual 90th Birthday Special” 8 p.m. NBC — Among the stars who appear: Bill Cosby, Whoopi Goldberg, Lily Tomlin and Bill Clinton.

“NCIS” 8 p.m. CBS — The NCIS team tracks an infamous hacker.

“The Sisterhood” 8 p.m. TLC — Domonique and DeLana meet again after a falling out.

“The Bachelor” 9 p.m. ABC (special time slot) — Sean and the nine remaining bachelorettes head for the Canadian Rockies.

“NCIS: Los Angeles” 9 p.m. CBS —  Callen, Sam, Kensi and Deeks work undercover as an elite tactical force.

“New Girl” 9 p.m. Fox — CeCe hopes to find a prospective husband at a dating convention for East Indians.

“Smash” 9 p.m. NBC (second season debut) — Karen discovers a new artist in an unexpected place. And Ellis is gone!

“Cougar Town” 10 p.m. TBS — Jules mulls a career change when she tires of the real-estate grind.

“Justified” 10 p.m. FX — Raylan encounters unexpected danger while searching for Drew Thompson.

“Vegas” 10 p.m. CBS — Jack is faced with breaking some dire news to Mia.

“White Collar” 10 p.m. USA — A forgery and money-laundering case has links to jazz and taxicabs.

WEDNESDAY

“American Idol” 8 p.m. Fox — The Hollywood round begin with several Georgia contestants in the running.

“Criminal Minds” 9 p.m. CBS — A writer's daughters vanish.

“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” 9 p.m. NBC — Mike Tyson plays a death-row inmate.

“Modern Family” 9 p.m. ABC — Phil's golf lesson with Jay turns into a competition.

“The Americans” 10 p.m. FX— Philip and Elizabeth plant a bug in the defense secretary's office.

“Hot in Cleveland” 10 p.m. TV Land — Joy is suspicious of a yogi at a spa retreat.

“The Office” 9 p.m. NBC — The staffers pair up as faux couples to score a Valentine's Day discount at a mall.

“Suits” 10 p.m. USA — Daniel returns with a lawsuit against Jessica.
