TV best bets with Academy Awards, return of "Body of Proof"

Seth MacFarlane
ABC
How naughty will Seth MacFarlane be as host of the Oscars Sunday?

By Rodney Ho

The big event this week is Sunday's Academy Awards on ABC, which picked a host that is hardly a household name: Seth MacFarlane, best known as the man behind "Family Guy" and the film "Ted."

His risque, off-beat sense of humor may clash with the rather staid Academy audience. Perhaps he will bring in younger viewers. Let's hope he does better than David Letterman many moons back.

Otherwise, it's a pretty quiet week in TV land. ABC brings back "Body of Proof" for a third season. USA's "Suits" and "Necessary Roughness" finish their seasons, along with CBS's "CSI: NY."
