'Idol' bits: Kelly Clarkson wows Inauguration, Kris Allen covers Lumineers By Rodney Ho
Kelly Clarkson's support of Ron Paul during the election period didn't stop her and her angelic voice from being brought to the Inauguration of Barack Obama today.
She sang a heartfelt, soulful version of "My Country Tis of Thee," proving that she can rise to any occasion. Afterwards, she shook Pres. Obama's hand, did a little goofy dance and left the stage. New York Sen. Chuck Schumer hit the podium and simply said, "Wow!"

On a much smaller scale, season 8 "American Idol" winner Kris Allen performed two shows last night at Decatur's Eddie's Attic. I chose to just relax at home last night and didn't attend the show. Fortunately, someone did send out a YouTube video of his performance of the Lumineers' "Ho Hey."
