TV best bets with Super Bowl, '30 Rock' series finale, return of 'Dallas'

NBC closes shop on "30 Rock" Thursday after seven seasons.

There's this sports event called the Super Bowl this Sunday.

The only network willing to counter-program the most-watched program of the year is GPB with a fresh episode of "Downton Abbey."

And CBS has given its freshman show "Elementary" the coveted post-Super Bowl slot.

In other highlights this week, TNT Monday  brings back "Dallas," which shot several episodes before Larry Hagman passed in November.  On Wednesday, FX goes back to 1981 for spy drama "The Americans." NBC says goodbye to its criticalliy acclaimed (if not always highly viewed) show "30 Rock" Thursday.

And on Saturday, Angela Bassett plays Coretta Scott King in a Lifetime movie.

MONDAY

“The Bachelor” 8 p.m. ABC — Sean plays roller derby with eight of the remaining contenders.

“The Biggest Loser” 8 p.m. NBC — The players buy nutritious food on a limited budget.

“Bones” 8 p.m. Fox — Brennan and Booth discuss their preferences for funeral arrangements.

“Dallas” 9 p.m. TNT (second season debut) — Larry Hagman filmed several episodes before he passed, including this one.

“The Following” 9 p.m. Fox — Hardy and his team dig deeper into Carroll's psyche.

“RuPaul's Drag Race” 9 p.m. Logo (fifth season debut) — The drag queens are back.

“Oprah's Next Chapter” 10: p.m. OWN — Cissy Houston is interviewed.

“Deception” 10:01 p.m. NBC — Joanna learns that Julia is hiding something about Vivian's murder.

TUESDAY

“Betty White's Off Their Rockers” 8 p.m. NBC — NeNe Leakes tutors Betty White on how to throw a proper tantrum.

“NCIS” 8 p.m. CBS — A car accident involving a marine is investigated.

“The Sisterhood” 8 p.m. TLC (new time slot) — Domonique and Tara continue to feud.

“NCIS: Los Angeles” 9 p.m. CBS — Callen goes undercover to infiltrate a terrorist group.

“New Girl” 9 p.m. Fox — Nick and Schmidt are both attracted to the same beautiful woman.

“American Idol” 8 p.m. Fox — The judges go to San Antonio.

“Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials 2013” 8 p.m. CBS — Boomer Esiason and Aisha Taylor host.

“Auction Hunters” 9 p.m. Spike (fourth season debut) — Allen and Tom hopes selling items from a collection of antique ammo and classic football helmets will help pay the bills.

“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” 9 p.m. NBC — An undercover investigation into savage attacks leads to a murder case.

“The Americans” 10 p.m. FX (new series) — Two Moscow agents pretend to be a typical American couple set during the Reagan Cold War years.

“Hot in Cleveland” 10 p.m. TV Land — Elka becomes Victoria's agent.

“Chicago Fire” 10 p.m. NBC — A teen arsonist starts a hardware-store fire.
