Praise 102.5/102.9 won a Stellar Award earlier this month as Major Market Gospel Station of the Year.
The station debuted in 2001 and quickly became the largest gospel station in the nation. The Stellar Awards are the gospel equivalent of the Grammys.
"I am happy for my team here," said program director Derek Harper in a text. "They do great work. This award is a testament to them."
This is Praise's third Stellar Award out of five nominations.
“Our Atlanta Praise family works so very hard each day to provide the best inspirational station on-air and on-line for our listeners and advertisers,” said Timothy P. Davies, Vice President/ General Manager, in a press release, “and to again be recognized as the best of the best in the country, is truly an honor.”
