Majic 107.5/97.5 hit the top of Atlanta ratings for the first time in its history in June, 2013.

R&B/hip-hop station V-103, the perennial leader in Atlanta radio, lost its first non-Christmas monthly ratings battle in many years last month.

Rival R&B station Majic 107.5/97.5 took the top spot with a 7.4 share.

V-103 tied R&B station Kiss 104.1 in second with a 7.2 share.

But in the key 25-54 demographic, V-103 remained on top with a 8.6 share.

And while V-103's six-month-old Ryan Cameron morning show slipped to No. 3 overall, it remained No. 1 in key demographics of 25 to 54 and 18 to 34. V-103's weakest time slot lately has been mid-days, led by Egypt Sherrod.

V-103 has been taking hits from a combination of rivals Hot 107.9, Kiss, Majic and Streetz 94.5, which ranked 11th among 18 to 34 year olds on a very weak signal.

AM 750 and 95.5 FM News/Talk WSB was the No. 1 station in the mornings. B98.5, the pop station, came in No. 1 again during mid-days. Magic was the most popular station in the late afternoons and evenings while Kiss was tops during weekends.

And 97.1/The River had its best ratings month ever, ranking 5th with a 6.5 share.

The two major Christian stations had especially poor June months. Christian pop station 104.7/The Fish fell to a tie for 12th with a 3.6 share, its worst month since last November. Praise 102.5, once a steady top 10 performer, has slipped to 16th with a 3.0 share, its worst performance since people meters were introduced in 2009. As recently as Apri of last year, Praise had pulled in a 5.2.

Top 40 station Power 96.1, which opened strong last fall, has continued a steady slide since January, falling to a 3.1 share, its worst since its debut last fall. Even in its key demo of 18 to 34, it fell to 10th place, behind Star, Q100 and B98.5.

92.9/The Game, another newcomer from last fall, also suffered its worst month since its introduction last October: a 0.5 share, one quarter of what leading sports station 680/The Fan received. The period only covered two days after the Mayhem in the AM implosion June 17, but 790/The Zone also had a soft month, falling to a 0.5 share, tied with the Game.

On the bright side, Radio 105.7 in its fourth month of existence playing alternative rock continues to build momentum, hitting a  high of 3.6 share, tied with the Fish for 12th.
