She has had a great career. Time to pack it in.

Won't miss her one iota

She still has gas in the tank. Stick around awhile longer!

News reports are saying veteran ABC News broadcaster and "View" creator Barbara Walters plans to retire in 2014.

Walters and ABC News have declined comment with sources all coming in anonymously to Deadline.com and AP, among other places.

Walters broke a lot of barriers as the first female morning show co-host on 'The Today Show" and the first evening co-anchor on ABC's "World News Tonight." .She co-anchored "20/20" for many years as well. She successfully started "The View" in 1997.

At age 83, she's suffered a few medical issues in recent years, including open-heart surgery in 2010 and chicken pox recently.

"The View" spawned copycats, including "The Chat" and "The Chew."
