Cheryl White, formerly a traffic and weather reporter for "Good Day Atlanta" on Fox 5, has become the full-time afternoon anchor at All News 106.7, replacing Melissa Carter.

On her Facebook feed, she wrote: "I have joined the team at All News 106.7 as the afternoon co-anchor with Greg Black! A special thanks to all of you who have been so supportive this year and I hope you'll be listening Monday through Friday 3 - 7 p.m. on All News 106.7!"

This also leads to the likely name for the new team: Black and White.

She has been a fill in since June so management obviously liked what they heard and offered her a full-time gig.

White left Fox 5 in late December after 15 years. (Details here.) The company at the time said it needed someone with more multi-media skills.

White's replacement doing traffic on "Good Day Atlanta" is Katie Beasley. She last worked in Augusta.

In other Fox 5 news, two reporters recently left the station: Julia Reynolds, who had been there six years, and Darryl Carver, who had been at the station eight years.

Carter, who formerly worked as a host on the Bert Show, left All News after 14 months to host the new morning show at B98.5 with newcomer Jeff Elliott and producer Jeremy "Fat Kid' Powell. Read more about that here.
