Dragon Con is quickly approaching so it’s time to dive into some of the panels you can expect to see this year.

As a first-time Dragon Con attendee, this is a super exciting time for me. Between the cosplay and panels consisting of some of our favorite celebrities, there is so much to learn! The internationally known pop culture, fantasy, science fiction and gaming convention is bringing in several big names you’ll want to see.

How exciting is it that two members of the original “Star Trek” television series will be in attendance? William Shatner, who is best known for his time as Capt. James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise in the “Star Trek” television series, the animated series, and seven motion pictures, will be at the convention on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Shatner will be joined by Walter Koenig, who played Ensign Pavel Chekov and appeared in all seven motion pictures featuring the original cast. Emmy-nominated actors Morena Baccarin and Tom Cavanagh, along with David Ramsey and Danielle Panabaker will join Shatner and Koenig to meet fans, lead panel discussions and sign autographs.

Those aren’t the only big names you’ll see at Dragon Con - Holly Marie Combs of “Charmed,” Joe Flanigan and Rachel Luttrell of “Stargate Atlantis,” Diane Guerrero, Mauro Castillo and Adassa of “Encanto,” Brec Bassinger, Yvette Monreal, Trae Romano and Anjelika Washington of “Stargirl,” and Marvel’s Agents of “SHIELD,” Brett Dalton, Jason O’Mara and Briana Venskus will all be in attendance. We can’t forget about voice actors Kaitlyn Robrock of Disney’s “Minnie Mouse,” Jim Cummings of Disney’s “Winnie the Pooh” and Nolan North of “Superman.”

Several television shows filmed in Georgia will be represented including “Doom Patrol,” “Stargirl,” “The Walking Dead” and “Fear the Walking Dead.”
