We may be out of the 90′s but the obsession with Jurassic Park is still alive and well!

Last night, Access Atlanta partnered with Jurassic World Dominion to bring Atlantans an advanced screening to the latest and last installment in the Jurassic franchise. If you were lucky enough to win your way into the screening, then congrats because you were in for a treat!

Don’t worry, you won’t find any spoilers here! A brief synopsis of the movie states that Jurassic World Dominion takes place “four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures.” This will be the conclusion of the Jurassic era as Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are joined by Oscar-winner Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill.

Of course, Chris Pratt was amazing to look at, so that made it easy, but one of my absolute favorite parts of Jurassic World Dominion were the effects. I didn’t expect anything less from the Jurassic franchise. I also enjoyed the storyline and how the movie took us on a rollercoaster of emotions - the gasp during the sudden intense parts and the laughs when comedic relief was offered, all made for a fun and entertaining movie experience. I must admit, the ending was a little sad, not necessarily because of how it ended, but more so because this was the end of an era that made up quite a few memories from my childhood, and even into adulthood. Is it silly of me to think that they’ll make just one more? Maybe it’s just my inner optimist showing it’s head.
