You may know her as Meg from “A Wrinkle in Time” or even Gia from “Euphoria,” but Storm Reid is taking on the name June in her latest movie, “Missing.”

The Atlanta native spoke with Access Atlanta to tell us all about her new movie and even what it was like working with award-winning actress Nia Long, who stars as her mom. Reid plays rebellious teenager June in the new movie, which is in theaters now. When June’s mom, Grace, goes on vacation with her boyfriend, she ends up missing, and June must use social media and technology to try and track her down.

Without going into any spoilers, June quickly learns how social media can be on your side one second and completely against you the next, which Reid says is reflective of the real world. “Social media can be a double-edged sword. It could be a place full of light, positivity and community. The other side of that is that people are rude, mean and dark. Social media can be a dark place, but I try to stay on the side of positivity. Sharing my life – I know what that comes with. People are going to talk and say things, but as long as I’m comfortable with what I’m sharing and being as authentic as possible, I think that’s the only thing that matters.”

The script for “Missing” wasn’t the only thing Reid was studying; she had to stay on top of her school work too! The actress is also a student at the University of Southern California. “Everything is going very fast right now; it feels like I’m being pulled in a thousand different directions, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I’m having the best time. I get to go back to campus next week, so I’m looking forward to that. It’s all about balance, and thankfully, we’ve been able to balance everything I do pretty well.”

Since the “Euphoria” actress is in school, why not put her to the test? Who has the worst traffic? Better food? Watch our full interview with Reid below and find out her answers as we play, “This or That: ATL vs. LA,” edition!
