Woodstock Farmers Market
No summer is complete without a few visits to quality area farmers markets. The Woodstock Farmers Market doesn’t disappoint and offers jams and jellies, produce, local meat, fresh bread and pastries and more. It operates from 8:30 a.m. to noon each Saturday until Dec. 27.

Prelude to the Fourth

Sweat & Sip in the Sky

Library Experience Pass to the Alliance Theater
Get in out of the heat this summer at the Alliance Theater. The Fulton County Library offers, via Experience Pass, the opportunity for as many as four tickets to Family Series productions at the Alliance. Available Family Series productions include “Milo Imagines the World,” with shows through July 27.

Red, White & Boom

Downtown Canton First Friday with Bumpin’ the Mango
This dynamic funk and soul band has been around since 2012, and it horn and rhythm sections and vocals are bound to get you out on the dance floor! The Bumpin’ the Mango concert will be the first Friday in July.

Stone Mountain sunrise hike and cookout
Organized by Black Hikers Unite, this early morning event brings outdoor enthusiasts together to enjoy Stone Mountain Park. Begin the day with a sunrise hike up the mountain and end it with a great food! This event is free but be prepared to pay the $20 parking fee at the park.

Weekly Walking Club
This 45-minute walk takes place every Tuesday and winds through Piedmont Park. It’s hosted by the park’s conservancy group, and participants can ask questions about the organization’s efforts.
