3 ways to make the most of your Sunday Funday in Atlanta

Few cities do a Sunday Funday like Atlanta.
From crowded, but delicious, brunch spots to lots of lush parks, from weekend festivals to a variety of museums, Atlanta is loaded with places to go and things to see to help fend off the Sunday scaries. If you’re not sure where to start, consider adding these to your itinerary to get the most out of your weekend.
Fuel up with brunch
No Sunday Funday should begin without a solid brunch, and Atlanta is loaded with spots to fuel up on eggs Benedict or bottomless mimosas.
There are so many places to choose from – some with shorter wait times than others – but you could consider Le Bilboquet or Le Petit Marché if you’re into a Southern take on elegant French fare, El Tosoro for a brunch burrito, Folk Art in Inman Park and Decatur or the classic Buttermilk Kitchen.
Make up your own museum crawl
Atlanta is also home to some of the South’s best museums, and adding any of them to your list of Sunday stops is sure to enrich the afternoon.
Swing by the High Museum, the Atlanta Contemporary, MINT Gallery, whitespace or ZuCot Gallery for some of the best art the city has to offer. Spaces like Bakery and eyedrum also play host to a variety of cool art exhibitions, performance artists and more on the weekend, just be sure to check their event calendars before swinging by.
Post up at a lush park
After a loaded brunch, and a day wandering around the city’s best museums, you might be feeling a little bit spent. End your Sunday Funday with a comfy spread at one of Atlanta’s many greenspaces and parks.
Spots like Piedmont Park and Lullwater Preserve and Park offer a verdant reprieve from the hustle and bustle of a busy Sunday. Or, if you’re looking for something a little more macabre, though just as beautiful (and maybe a little more peaceful), you could also consider a stroll through gorgeous Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta’s oldest public park.
