CHECK OUT: 5 must-see concerts in Atlanta this week

Whether you’re looking for a tequila tasting, a basketball game or an art exhibit, Atlanta has a little something for everyone. Here are six of our favorite things to do this weekend:

Pay ‘Respect’ to a legendary singer

Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul, was one of the most iconic voices in music history. She was known for her powerful voice and how she could make any song her own.

And now you can experience that same power and grace with R.E.S.P.E.C.T., an electrifying tribute celebrating Aretha! Starring a live band and supreme vocalists, enjoy a night of music featuring all your favorite hits from “Natural Woman” to “Think” to “I Knew You Were Waiting For Me” and many more.

Location: Midtown - 660 Peachtree St NE; Time: 7 p.m.; Date: Thursday, Nov. 3; Admission: $39+; Website: events.accessatlanta.com

Raise your vibration at the High’s Frequency Friday

Every first Friday of the month, the High Museum of Art opens its doors to some of Atlanta’s favorite DJs and lets them use their creative juices to create an unforgettable experience for guests.

Don’t miss out; it’s here for one day only.

Tequila is one of the most popular spirits in the world, and the ¡Viva Tequila Festival! is your passport through its history, with tequila tastings and small plates from Atlanta’s best restaurants. The festival features more than 30 hand-crafted small-batch tequilas from Mexico, paired with small plates from Atlanta’s top chefs and restaurants. There will also be live music, art and plenty of dancing because, let’s face it: when you’re drinking tequila, that’s all you want to do anyway.
