La Oaxaquena Taqueria

This quaint Oaxacan taqueria south of Atlanta in Jonesboro is well worth visiting. It offers a variety of lunch specials, ranging from two Mexican tacos (meat, onion and cilantro on a corn tortilla), two American tacos (meat, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and shredded cheese on a flour tortilla), two sopes (corn patties topped with meat, refried beans, lettuce, queso fresco and sour cream), and much more at various prices.

Nestled in Castleberry Hill, this colorful restaurant is a direct escape to Mexico and offers multiple lunch menu specials, including 3 “Tacos de Birria,” or brisket tacos for $16 and available Monday, Wednesday and Friday only. Souper Jenny

Enjoy a souper “Lunch Combo” at this souper casual and healthy cafe for $18 plus tax consisting of two $9 menu items (bowl of soup, salad or sandwich) with a free cookie, drink and piece of fruit. Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft

Located in Brookwood Hills, Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft offers three lunch specials during weekdays. These include the Tuk Tuk Lunch Box for $14, consisting of rice, soup and two Thai dishes in a Thai-style lunchbox; the Chicken Satay Salad for $13, consisting of grilled chicken, cucumber, red onion, bean sprouts and a peanut sauce dressing; and Thai fried rice for $13, with an extra $2 for beef and an extra $3 for shrimp.
