One such event that car enthusiasts won’t want to miss is a free classic truck show. The C10s in the City show will attract more than 350 classic trucks and 700 spectators to Summerhill’s C Lot — formerly the Orange Lot at Turner Field. The show is open to all full-size Chevy trucks built in 1998 or earlier, and admission for show trucks and spectators alike is free.

“We are not here to make money. The show is all about having a great time with friends, meeting new people, and coming together for a good cause. We have no plans to ever charge people to come to C10s in the City. It’s humbling to have so many people supporting us and this show. I’m looking forward to growing this event and giving back to the community,” show promoter Rick Cheeseman said in a press release.

The classic Chevy truck show will bring spectators to Summerhill, the redeveloped area near Atlanta’s former Olympic stadium and surroundings, so bring your appetite! Georgia Avenue is only two blocks, away and is home to many restaurants including D Boca N Boca, Halfway Crooks Brewery, Junior’s Pizza, How Crispy, Woods Chapel BBQ and more.

Show promoter Sarah Boim, a 35-year-old breast cancer survivor, is excited to include Pink Fund fundraising in the event, saying:

“The concept for C10s in the City came to us after a very difficult year. In March 2020, Rick lost his mom, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and the country was shuttered. In 2021, as businesses started opening, we decided to use our passion for classic trucks to bring people back together and drive customers to Atlanta’s struggling businesses.”
