Downtown Atlanta will be buzzing with activity on April 27, as Grady Health System’s annual fundraiser, Move For Grady returns. Participants will be hitting the pavement in the iconic ride, run and walk event to raise money for a good cause — ensuring that everyone in the city has equitable access to quality health care.

Then there’s the Pop-Up on the Plaza afterparty, a finish line celebration where around 1,500 people will gather for fun and games, a live DJ, and free food and drinks.

“The 1 mile is new, and it’s a great downhill course. So it’s a great place for somebody to really come prove how fast they are,” Grady Health Foundation president Joselyn Baker noted. “But also, for somebody just walking a mile, it’s a great chance to take advantage of that distance, too. By signing up, by registering, that’s a great way to say, ‘Yes, I support Grady,’ a great way to help toward the success of this event, which is about raising awareness and funds for Grady. The community is asking Grady to do a lot more, and Grady’s stepping up, but we really need people. We need people to be hand in hand with us as we’re doing this work, and this is just a great way for people to do that.”

All three routes will begin and end at Georgia State University’s Center Parc Stadium, though there may be slight changes to the routes on event day depending on road conditions. Detailed route maps featuring the elevations for each event can be found here.

The 1-mile downhill dash route starts at Liberty Plaza, next to the Georgia State Capitol, and ends at Georgia State University’s Center Parc Stadium.

The 5k and 10k runs both begin and end at Center Parc Stadium. For detailed course maps of each route visit here.
