If you’re looking for something fun and affordable to do this fall, what better way to enjoy the upcoming beautiful cooler weather than with free outdoor movies for the whole family or even on your next date night? It’s a fascinating way to see some of your favorite films or discover new ones.

We’ve found eight great spots to catch free outdoor (and indoor) movies that everyone can enjoy around metro Atlanta. Check them out below to find one near you!

Druid Hills (The Point) - “Movies Under the Stars”

The Point offers free classic movie screenings with “Movie Under the Stars” every Friday in September and on Saturday, Oct. 8. This Friday, Sept. 23, check out the 1961 film, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” Then next Friday, Sept. 30, catch Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds in the timeless film “Singin’ in the Rain” (1952), followed by “Casablanca” (1942) on Saturday, Oct. 8. Seating is first come, first served, and guests are welcome to bring blankets and chairs.

Tip: When you spend $25 or more at any restaurant or store at The Point, you’ll enjoy exclusive VIP seating at their movie screenings. VIP guests will receive exclusive popcorn, candy and a drink.

Buford (Mall of Georgia) - “Movies Under the Stars”

Check out the “Movies Under the Stars” series at the Mall of Georgia’s Village Live! This Saturday, Sept. 24, hear some catchy tunes in “Sing 2″ and on Saturday, Oct. 8, see the spookiest family in “The Addams Family 2.” Bring the whole family for snacks and live entertainment starting at 4 p.m. with the movie screenings at 7 p.m.

Norcross (Cultural Arts and Community Center) - “Movie Mondays”

The Norcross Cultural Arts & Community Center hosts Norcross’ “Movie Mondays” every second and fourth Monday of the month, where attendees can watch a free movie and enjoy some light refreshments indoors. Offering two movie showing times: 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., there are a handful of family-friendly movie screenings coming up. The first is this Saturday, Sept. 26, with “Death on the Nile.” Then on Monday, Oct. 10, there is Dreamworks’ “The Bad Guys,” Spielberg’s “West Side Story” on Monday, Oct. 24, and the action-adventure comedy film “The Lost City” on Monday, Nov. 14.

Roswell (East Roswell Park) - “Reels and Wheels”

Be sure to stop at “Reels and Wheels” in East Roswell Park next Friday, Sept. 30, for a free screening of “Space Jam: A New Legacy!” The movie will be shown on the softball fields, and there will be delicious food to enjoy with The Queso Truck and Repicci’s Italian Ice & Gelato. The food trucks arrive at 5 p.m., and the movie begins at 7 p.m.

Fayetteville (Town at Trilith Central Plaza) - “REEL Friday at Trilith” Fall Movie Series

Over the next few months, Town at Trilith’s Central Plaza will host free screenings of family-friendly films as part of its “Reel Friday at Trilith” fall movie series in Fayetteville. Next Friday, Sept. 30, is a musical movie night with “Coco.” Then, see Disney’s “The Haunted Mansion” on Oct. 28, “The Muppets Christmas Carol” on Nov. 25 and “Ratatouille” on Dec. 30. Movies begin at 7 p.m. and guests can bring blankets and chairs. There will be activities for kids and an ice cream cart from Honeysuckle Gelato.

Peachtree Corners (Town Green) - “Flicks on the Green”

Batman and Lego fans, unite! Visit the Town Green in Peachtree Corners for “Flicks on the Green” to catch a free showing of “The Lego Batman Movie” at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1. Bring a blanket or chair for an evening of family fun on the lawn and grab takeout from any of the Town Green eateries to enjoy during the movie. The Red Popcorn Wagon will be there offering plenty of popcorn, drinks and sweet treats from their famous red wagon.

Midtown (Colony Square) - “Movies on the Square”

Enjoy a relaxing evening watching a movie in Midtown’s Colony Square! On Thursday, Oct. 6, they’ll be showing the Disney Channel Original Movie “Halloweentown” at 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets, and seating is first come, first served. While outside food and beverages are not permitted, there are plenty of on-site options to choose from. There will be a Serena Pastificio pop-up bar for wine and cocktail options during the event.

The Bowl at Sugar Hill - “Movies Under the Stars”

As part of Sugar Hill’s “Movie Under the Stars” series, enjoy an exciting evening of adventure during a free screening of Disney’s “The Haunted Mansion,” on Oct. 28, just in time for Halloween! The Bowl is an award-winning amphitheater in the heart of Sugar Hill that hosts several fun events throughout the year, like free movie showings. Bring the whole family and come prepared with blankets for a spooky evening. Concessions with snacks and drinks are available during the movie.
