Attractions closing due to snowy weather

Some Atlanta attractions are closing Wednesday due to the weather.

•The High Museum of Art will be closed for the day.

•The City Winery postponed Wednesday night’s scheduled concert by Nick Hagelin until Feb. 5. Wednesday’s tickets will be honored that day, or can be returned for store credit.

•The Woodruff Arts Center will delay opening its administrative offices until noon.

•The Fox Theatre reported Wednesday afternoon that “Due to the state of emergency and icy road conditions, the Wednesday, January 17 performance at 7:30 p.m. of “Disney’s The Lion King” has been canceled. All ticketholders will be refunded through their original point of purchase.”

•Morning performances of “Dinosaur” at the Alliance Theatre (scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., have been canceled.

•The evening performances of “Native Guard,” which was to open at the Atlanta History Center Wednesday, has been canceled. That play is based on poems by Pulitzer Prize-winning Natasha Trethewey. All other elements of the History Center will be closed Wednesday.

•Zoo Atlanta will be closed for the day. 

•The Fernbank Science Museum will have a delayed opening.

•Attractions at Stone Mountain Park (including their snow ride, Snow Mountain) will be closed Wednesday.
