Atlanta family honors Prince with Christmas lights show

2016 certainly had more than a few terrible moments, but one of the biggest was certainly the death of musician Prince.

The singer died one week after performing two back-to-back shows at The Fox Theatre. Atlanta fans who attended had no way of knowing they were attending the singer’s last concerts.

One local family is displaying their love for the “Purple Rain” singer in a festive way this holiday season.

Located at 1091 Monroe Drive in Atlanta, the Holiday Magic-Woodruff Family Christmas Lights display features the musician’s purple symbol, red cars (”Little Red Corvette”) and, yes “Purple Rain.”

"A Purple Christmas: Tribute To Prince" is free and will play approximately 15 and 45 minutes into each hour, beginning at 6 p.m. and ending at midnight.
