Best fried chicken in Atlanta | Best of Atlanta

Fried chicken is serious business, folks. With almost 11,000 votes in, we have a new Best of Atlanta champion to present to the world. At 39% of the votes, Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken flew to the top of the coop. Known for its hot and spicy recipe, this family of restaurants is slowly dominating the fried chicken scene with each new city in which it opens. Bite into over 60 years of perfection at their Intown location.

Seconds is a good thing when it comes to fried chicken. That's why second place goes to none other than Mary Mac's Tea Room. In March of 2011, The Georgia House of Representatives created Resolution 477, in which Mary Mac’s was officially declared to be Atlanta's Dining Room. That's no small potatoes. They've been serving up some of Atlanta's best fried chicken for over 70 years. Tried and true, you'll be back often for more.

Are you full yet? If not, then head over to our third place finalist at South City Kitchen Vinings for a healthy serving of their buttermilk fried chicken. We suggest a pairing of their creamy banana pudding along with a local draft beer to wash it all down.

You don't want to miss out on any of our official nominee's offerings: Table & Main (North Fulton), Corner Stop Cafe (Gwinnett), Paschal's (Intown), Busy Bee Cafe (Intown) and The General Muir (DeKalb).
