Annual Welcome Home Wednesday

8-11 p.m. Thursday. Marriott Pulse Bar. 265 Peachtree Center Ave., Atlanta.

The majority of Dragon Con attendees can't get enough of the event. Every year the opening gets pushed earlier into the week. For veterans that makes a lot of sense, since being at Dragon Con is like being reunited with family after a long, long year apart. So for those that can arrive early, get to Pulse Bar at Marriott Marquis before the monster of a rush hits on Thursday.

Bunny Hutch Party and Costume Contest

10 p.m. Thursday. Hilton Grand Salon. 255 Courtland St. NE, Atlanta.

Embrace the sexy in you and get amped for the Playboy/girl kickoff party at the Hilton. When you're picking out your costume, keep in mind geek-meets-chic (this is Dragon Con of course). Mash it up with your favorite fandom and be sure to enter the contest to win a fabulous prize. Mature audiences only.

Pinups by the Pool Party

8:30 p.m. Friday. Sheraton Pool and Courtyard. 165 Courtland St. NE, Atlanta.

Just because the neighborhood pool is closing doesn't mean you have to put away your bathing suit quite yet. The Sheraton's got a pool and Dragon Con is hosting one of the hottest competitions of the year. Don your best poolside pinup attire and get creative with a nerdy twist. Don't be shy; the judges will be mixing and mingling with the crowd. If pinup isn't your style, come back later for the Victorian Pool Party at 10 p.m.

Drinking Games with Geeks

11:30 p.m. Friday. Marriott Imperial Ballroom. 265 Peachtree Center Ave., Atlanta.

Conjure up a cocktail and head over to the Marriott for some boozy trivia. Panelists will tackle geeky questions based around their favorite libations, along with jokes, trivia and more.

Rick and Morty "Get Schwifty" Gathering

9 p.m. September 2. Atlanta Marriott Marquis. 265 Peachtree Center Ave., Atlanta.

Rick and Morty fans are (burp) something else. This fan-created event is more on the unofficial side of Dragon Con parties, but it is sure to be a good time. Put on your costume and get schwifty at the Marriott for epic space travel stories along with some photo ops in the Multiverse.

Last Party on Alderaan

10 p.m. September 2. Hilton Grand Salon. 255 Courtland St. NE, Atlanta.

Calling all Princess Leia's and Stormtroopers, welcome to Dragon Con's premier house-electro-pop-anything-music dance party. Party like there's no tomorrow with DJ BZB. You never know who might stop by.

Dragon Con Burlesque: A Glamour Geek Revue

12 a.m. September 3. Sheraton Grand Ballroom A-F. 165 Courtland St. NE, Atlanta.

This two-hour show (brought to you by Talloolah Love) appeals not just to the gluttons for glamour, but also to the OG chic who make Dragon Con what it is. Be sure to mark this on the must-do list for the weekend; you won't regret it. All you need is your badge to attend this event.

The Spectrum Party: Celebrating LGBTQ Geeks and Allies

10 p.m. September 3. Hilton Grand East. 255 Courtland St. NE, Atlanta.

To all of Dragon Con's LGBTQ attendees and supporters, this one's for you. DJ Neon the Glowgo Bear will be spinning tracks for everyone to "get down" to. Must be 21 and up to party and have valid photo ID to enter. Brought to you in conjunction with OutlantaCon. Mature audiences only.
