Katt Williams takes on Atlanta at Philips Arena

It’s safe to say that Katt Williams has a had a few run-ins with the law here in Georgia. After all, he’s actually been banned from a couple of counties.

Last night at Philips Arena, he had lots of love for Atlanta, though, as he entertained a packed house, even on a big weekend like this one.

"I can’t believe y’all did this [expletive] on Super Bowl weekend,” he told the loyal audience.

He got things going with one of Atlanta’s favorite topics: the weather.

"First I gotta say a few things about Atlanta,” he said. "I’ve been able to spend my first full winter here. I don’t think Atlanta knows what ... winter is supposed to be about. It frosted one hard time. That … mayor shut the schools down. The roads was closed. They salted the streets like they was going to cook ‘em next.”

It wasn’t long before he moved on to those legal troubles.

“I already have to be careful of the police,” he said. "My reputation has shown I have to be careful about the police.”

Proving he knows Atlanta, he then riffed on the traffic.

"Everywhere across the country, they’ve got rush hour traffic,” he said. "That means at certain times, you shouldn’t be traveling. Atlanta says [expletive] rush hour, it’s any hour…Ya'll got rush hour at 6, 12, 3, 5, 7, 9…”
