Customers, like the people in this file photo, can camp out for a chance at free Chick-fil-A for a year at a new Braselton location.

Hop over the Gwinnett County line on Thursday and you could get a year of free Chick-fil-A meals.

A new Chick-fil-A location is opening in Braselton, which straddles four counties: Gwinnett, Hall, Jackson and Barrow. Residents in parts of all four counties, plus a few others in metro Atlanta, are eligible to receive the free year of chicken.

If you live in one of the eligible zip codes (check here), you can show up to the store at 2600 Old Winder Highway between 5:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10 and remain there for the next 24 hours, until the store opens at 6 a.m. on Jan. 11. If more than 100 people show up before 6 a.m. on Jan. 10, the 100 camp-out participants will be chosen via a random drawing, according to giveaway rules.

The reward for spending 24 hours outside the soon-to-open restaurant is one free meal each week for 52 weeks.

Cities with eligible zip codes for the camp-out include Johns Creek, Roswell, Alpharetta, Duluth, Norcross, Lawrenceville, Chamblee, Dunwoody, Brookhaven, Lithonia, Conyers and Gainesville. Check Chick-fil-A’s website for the full list of zip codes.
