As of Tuesday afternoon, there were more than 110 critters at Cobb County’s animal shelter.
On Saturday, you can take some of them home with you at Cobb’s FURever Fest.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. under tents in the front lawn of the shelter, 1060 Al Bishop Drive in Marietta.
The free event will have animal-related vendors from businesses and educational groups espousing responsible pet ownership, the county said.
There will also be a “book nook” for children and a DJ.
Folks can donate unopened and unexpired dog or cat food, which the county will give to a food pantry providing temporary food assistance to Cobbers in need.
Visit the shelter’s website for more.
