Cobb offers Halloween alternative to trick-or-treating in neighborhood

If you’re been looking for a Halloween option other than walking around the neighborhood, Cobb County is holding its 18th Fall Festival of Fun.

From 4:30 to 7:30 p.m on the spookiest day of the year, Jim Miller Park will be back with activities — and candy.

The event will offer a “safe alternative” to regular trick-or-treat festivities, according to the county on Facebook.

Here’s what else Cobb has going on around Halloween:

• The Battery has events for kids, adults, pets on Halloween weekend

• You could win $5K at The Battery’s ‘Stranger Things’ Halloween event

• Smyrna Fall Jonquil Festival to bring plants, crafts, fair food

The festival will have arts and crafts, inflatable rides, costume contests for kids and adults, coloring contests, a photo booth and more.

The parking, games, candy and entrance into the costume contests are all free. However, expect to pay for concessions and inflatable rides.

The park is located at 2245 Callaway Road in Marietta.
