If you like chugging 2-liters of Coca-Cola and drenching your spaghetti with maple syrup, here’s the perfect theatre show for you.
“Elf The Musical Jr.” is coming to the Roswell Cultural Arts Center and will be shown Dec. 15 through 17.
The musical is based on the 2003 movie starring Will Ferrell. In it, the 50-year-old “Saturday Night Live” alumnus plays “Buddy” — one of Santa’s elves — who learns of his origins and travels to New York City to meet his biological father, played by James Caan.
In the show by the Roswell Youth Theatre, a similar story is told with a musical spin. RYT productions features actors, actresses and crew members ages 7 to 18.
Tickets for the show are $12 and can be purchased online. Show times are at 7 p.m. on Dec. 15 and 16, and at 2 p.m. on Dec. 17.

More than a decade after it hit theatres nationwide, the movie remains popular, especially for its GIF-usage.
