Gwinnett County’s first brewery is opening very soon

Gwinnett beer lovers, soon you will finally have a brewery closer to home.

Slow Pour Brewing Company, brought to you by brothers-in-law Marty Mazzawi and John Reynolds, is preparing to open, aiming to start slinging glasses of their IPA, pale ale and blonde ale on Sept. 15. Now that Georgia allows breweries to sell directly to consumers, Slow Pour will open its doors ready to serve you a pint.

Upon opening, Slow Pour will have three beers on tap: Nostalgia IPA, Cotillion blonde ale and a yet-to-be-named pale ale. Though tours are no longer required to have guests taste beer, Slow Pour will still conduct them, allowing behind-the-scenes peeks at the N. Clayton Street brewhouse in Lawrenceville.

The brewery hopes to have a grand opening celebration in October. The brewery will announce its taproom hours closer to its opening day.
