Free concerts are back in Johns Creek this summer, and cover bands are in.
You won’t get to see the real Kenny Chesney nor Stevie Nicks, but you’ll get to hear some bands perform their songs for free.
The Mark Burkhalter Park Amphitheater will host the summer concert series, which happen on various Fridays and Saturdays from May through October. Doors for the concerts open at 6 p.m., and the shows start at 7 p.m.
Here’s the schedule for the summer:
Friday, May 4 - Pirate Flag Band (Kenny Chesney cover band)
Friday, June 1 - Rumours (Fleetwood Mac cover band)
Saturday, Aug. 4 - Sister Hazel (original '90s alternative band)
Saturday, Sept. 8 - Banks & Shane (Folk)
Saturday, Oct. 6 - Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra

Seating for the concerts are on a first-come, first-serve basis and blankets and chairs are welcomed on the lawn. Folks can bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages, but alcohol will be on sale, as will food from various vendors.
Concerts are locked in for their dates, rain or shine.
