This is fun art, not fine art.

“Painting with a Twist,” a paint-and-sip studio, will host its grand opening on Thursday in Alpharetta. Started by Cathy Deano and Renee Maloney in 2007 in New Orleans, Painting with a Twist now has locations in 39 states.

Seating is limited for the class, so email studio312@paintingwithatwist.com to RSVP for your spot.

This is Painting with a Twist’s ninth location in Georgia. A studio opened in Dunwoody earlier this year.

The Alpharetta location began hosting classes last weekend and already has several events and special nights planned out through Decemeber. Details are available on its website, and there you can view information about the classes and prices. Classes typically range from $25 to $45 per person.

Painting with a Twist provides all painting supplies and artist instructions, and says that “no art experience” is required. A selection of beer, wine and other beverages are available at the studio’s bar.

In preperation for the Rose Bowl, the studio has already scheduled a “Go Dawgs!” paint night for Dec. 30 at noon.
